September 27, 2009If you need a lace cami..

I purchased this camisole in black, with the intention of wearing it only every now and then. I cannot attest to it's longevity for that reason, but the fabric is made of the same kind of stuff they make pantyhose out of... I made sure my nails were smooth before I put it on. I was afraid it would snag easily.
The small was a comfortable and accommodating fit, but not loose. That's a plus...I usually wear a small but the sizing runs the gamut, depending on designer, etc.
The lace covers the top completely on the front and back, that is to say, it IS lace. No lining to speak of.
However, I didn't notice before purchasing that the hemline was edged in a "lettuce" trim (sort of wavy and frilly)... which I personally never cared much for in a garment. Regardless, solid lacy camisoles with wide straps are hard to come by in my world, so I kept it. Oh, the straps are wide enough to cover bra straps, which I love... however, the item is totally see-through, and so it doesn't really matter! If you wear it with only your bra, you are daring, darling! But I just wear it under my business attire for a touch of femme flare, and it works well for that.
Prices rise and fall, otherwise I would take off one star for the price I paid (nearly $20.00). I think that is twice as much as this item deserves.
