• May 12, 2009Comfortable shoe

  These shoes are very comfortable to walk in. They are not really "cute" but they fit very well. I have a narrow foot and it is very hard to find slides that fit.

• February 11, 2009squeak . . .

  These shoes are beautiful, comfortable and stylish. After about a month, the left shoe developed a squeak. About a week later the right shoe developed a squeak. It was pretty hilarious and provided entertainment for my family. I did contact Clark shoes to explain the problem. They are a really terrific company, they had me pick out a replacement pair. I will always be a loyal Clarks customer because of their great customer service. I've owned about 6 pairs of Clark shoes and this has been the only pair that I've had a problem with.

• December 20, 2008XW was too wide for me. Nice quality though.

  I ordered the Teal color, which is more like a dusty aqua color with a hint of sage green. The Teal leather is not a bright and shiny color; it is more casual looking than the other colors, slightly earthy effect. The Teal would be cute with jeans or casual skirts.
  
  I will be sending them back, because they were too wide. In most brands, I wear Wide or Extra Wide. I ordered 9.5 XW (Extra Wide). My feet were sliding through the front, when I tried them on.
  
  Amazon has some fantastic prices on this style, but the supply is dwindling, and only some sizes and colors are left (in December 2008). Even though returns are not free, the price made it worth taking a chance. This sandal is also available from other sellers -- some of which provide free returns -- some through Amazon affiliation -- but the prices are probably higher.
  
  Upon examination, they appear well made -- nice leather, neat stitching. The band closest to the back has a small elastic inset, which allows a little flex when walking.
  
  There is some cushioning -- not the softest of the many shoes and sandals I've owned or tried on, but not bad. The heel is wide and stable, making these practical for someone who wants pretty sandals that allow some walking. This is something I would wear to a semi-casual party, but not for walking a mile. For someone wearing satin or sequins, these would not be fancy enough.
  
  There is a little arch support, but not enough to support my fallen arches, thus I would not want to walk far in these sandals.
  
  About the footbed: about half of it appears to be suede, with smooth leather on the rest of the footbed. I like the suede-type footbeds, especially in sandals; it will make the footbed less slippery in hot, sweaty weather. The parts of the footbed that may be visible when worn (the front toe-tip edge and the back heel edge) are smooth leather and will look nice, peeking out from under your feet. Thus, the combination of materials is a nice solution that allows practicality with good looks.
  
  The heel looks like it could be very dark wood (unless looking close), but it is synthetic -- more comfortable, not as hard as wood. There is a shallow pattern stamped into the bottom of the synthetic soles; I assume the purpose is to make them non-slick, but it is pretty.

  These shoes are very cute, but they could be a little more comfortable. I ordered mine in wide width & I think they could be a little wider at the toe area. Nice for casual, yet dressy days.

  I am very pleased with the ease and comfort of this shoe as well as the quality. The size runs true and I ordered a wide width for a little more comfort. I love the Honey color as well and the abiiity to slide it on without fuss. I have 6-7 pairs of Clarks from Amazon.com, and love them all.
